Plan and run an internal breakfast event to recognise International Women’s Day within the VGSO. This includes catering, guest speakers, activities, set-up, pack-up and communication tactics.
Along with the business development and marketing team at the VGSO I helped brainstorm catering ideas and I worked individually on brainstorming communication tactics for before, during and after the event. I was also involved in the set-up and pack-up of the event.
Some of my communication tactics were implemented by the business development and marketing team including a ‘Bold Actions’ wall, sending out calendar invites, and ensuring the event was filmed and photographed so that the videos and photos could be made available. They would have liked to have implemented more, however time and resources were limited. The guest speaker was Tim Cartwright, former Victoria Police Acting Chief Commissioner and Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor. The event was overall enjoyable and inspirational.
